Stella V. Page • 1921 - 2006 Stella V. Page, 84, Elkhart, IN, formerly of Minot, died Friday, January 6, 2006 in an Elkhart hospital. Stella was born September 28, 1921, in New Rockford, ND, the daughter of P.H. and Laura (Klingler) McGurren. She was raised and educated in Minot graduating from St. Leo's High School. On October 14, 1941, she married William G. Page at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot. She assisted her husband with operations of his business, Display Industries of America in Grand Forks, ND. William died October 26, 1966. Following his death, she moved to Minot and worked as the bookkeeper for the Minot Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic for over 20 years. She was a member of the St. Leo's Catholic Church, where she served on the alter society. She was also a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, where she taught CCD classes and was a Eucharistic minister. While in Elkhart she attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Stella enjoyed dancing, gardening, buying clothes and jewelry, and traveling and she had a wonderful sense of humor. She was able to visit her ancestral homeland, Ireland in 1999 with her daughter Renee. She is survived by: Her daughter Renee P. Page, Elkhart, IN with whom she lived with. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Kenneth McGurren and a sister Esma Finke. Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, January 13, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot Visitation: Thursday, January 12, 2006 from noon until 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Vigil Prayer Service: Thursday, January 12, 2006 at 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
