William John Otto 1923 - 2002 William John Otto, 78, Minot, formerly of Velva, died Saturday, June 22, 2002 in a Minot hospital. He was born on August 3, 1923, in Milton, ND, the son of William and Emily (Johnson) Otto. He was raised and educated in the Milton area. After his schooling, he worked on the construction of the Garrison Dam. He married Marie Arneson on November 14, 1947, in Velva, ND. They lived and raised their family in the Velva area. He worked for Thompson's Construction in Velva for a time. He went to work for Verendrie Electric Cooperative as a mechanic and worked there until his retirement in 1984. His wife Marie died in 1968. He later married Keiko Gange and they lived in Minot. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing with family and friends, fixing anything that was broken or not running, and his most prized job, being grandpa to his grandchildren. 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Orville Otto, Velva, and Kenneth
Otto and wife Helen, Minot; sisters, Carol Reif and husband Gerald,
Karlsruhe, ND, and Joyce Teigen and husband Dean, Portland, WA;
numerous nieces and nephews. His first wife, Marie; his parents;
three sisters, Julia Sandberg, Sharon Klimpel, Wanda Brevig;
two brothers, Gordon and Albert Otto, and one grandson, Dylon
