Robert J. Opp • 1942 - 2008 Robert Jerry Opp was born November 7, 1942 in Sheridan County, near Lincoln Valley, ND, the son of Jacob and Elta (Loutt) Opp. He was raised on his parent's farm in Lincoln Valley, ND and attended school there. Robert lived in Lincoln Valley until he began employment in Drake, ND. He later started to work for Morris Industries where he worked until he became disabled and later retired. Those who shared in his life, Son, Roger (Lynda) Opp, Deering; daughters, Laura Landry and fiancée, Randy Severson, Surrey, ND and Kimberly Perkins and her boyfriend, Jason Nichols, Berthold, ND; eight grandchildren; brothers, Lloyd Opp, Harvey, Jim Opp, Sawyer, Larry Opp and Eddie Opp, both in Minot, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister; two sons-in-law, and one brother, Arley Opp. Funeral: Friday, September 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot, ND.
