Orville Olson 1934 - 2002 Orville Olson, 67, 1510 First Ave. SE, Minot, ND, died Thursday, April 18, 2002, in a Minot Medical Center. He was born on August 2, 1934, in Lisbon, ND, the son of Olaf and Anna Rose (Zulke) Olson. He graduated from Garrison High School and enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 17. He fought with the Heavy Attack Squadron (Hells Angels) in Korea and then in Vietnam. He was once married to Marliss Ketterling, who he married on May 15, 1960. Orville then worked for Boeing Aircraft and Lockheed /Martin. He traveled the world, living 13 years in the Middle East working for Lockheed International. He retired and spent his remaining years in Washington State, Bismarck and Minot North Dakota. He was an amateur archeologist, who enjoyed collecting Indian Artifacts. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors: four children, Shelley (Olson) Sather and her husband, Jeff Sather, Minot, Erik Olson and his wife, Mary Ann, Snohomish, WA, Michael Olson and his wife, Anna, Snohomish, WA and Heather Olson, Snohomish, WA. Seven grandchildren, Carmen (Sather) Latella and her husband Chris, Minot Air Force Base, ND, Kristi Sather, Grand Forks, ND, Carly, Taryn and Tyler Sather, all of Minot, Caela Wilburn, Snohomish and Allanna Olson, Snohomish; one great granddaughter, Sage Latella, MAFB, ND; brother, Reginald Olson, Bismarck, ND. He is also survived by a honorary daughter, Dardette Libke, Minneapolis, MN and several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed and remembered always. He was preceded in death by his parents, Olaf and Anna Olson.
