Leslie G. Olson 1942 - 2003

Leslie G. Olson, 61, Burnsville, MN, formerly of Bergen, ND, died Monday, November 24, 2003.

He was born on August 27, 1942, in Minot, ND, to Herbie and Lucille (Holte) Olson. He attended grade school in Bergen and graduated from Bergen High School in 1960. He worked at various jobs in Bergen and Velva, ND. He married Carmine Bossert, of Velva, in 1967. They moved to Minneapolis, MN, where Leslie worked for McKee Enterprises, a nationwide floor covering company, for over 30 years. Leslie and Carmine were married for twenty years and later divorced. At the time of Leslie's retirement in 2002, he was department manager at McKee Enterprises. He lived in Burnsville, MN, until the time of his death.

To say Les was a sports fan is an understatement. He loved Minnesota for its change of seasons, Vikings, Timberwolves, Twins, and Gophers basketball. He also loved North Dakota and came back often to visit friends and family. He especially loved his granddaughters and enjoyed spending time with them.

Survivors: daughter, Vanessa (Brian) Demuth, Rosemont, MN; mother, Lucille Olson, Velva, ND; two grandchildren, Shale and Monique Demuth; former wife, Carmine Olson, Apple Valley, MN; brother Darell (Loraine) Olson, Grand Forks, ND; aunt, Lydia Olson, Velva, ND; several nieces and nephews. His father preceded him in death.

Funeral Mass: Saturday, November 29, 2003, 10:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Velva, ND.

Visitation: Friday, November 28, 2003, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Velva, ND.

Burial: Bergen Cemetery, Bergen, ND.
