Audrey V. Olson • 1938 - 2007 Audrey was born July 25, 1938, in Minot, ND, the daughter of Arthur and Myrtle (Hanson) Granheim. Audrey was raised and educated in Minot. Audrey married Hjalmer J. "Joe" Olson on December 25, 1956 in Minot. Following their marriage they lived in Illinois for one year before returning to Minot. While in Minot, Audrey worked at Sears for several years. She also was a lifeguard at Roosevelt Pool and taught swimming lessons. Audrey's husband Hjalmer "Joe" Olson died on December 23, 1995. She volunteered many hours at Easter Seals in Minot. She was
active in Home League through the Salvation Army and volunteered
there for a number of years. Audrey loved her family and she
loved children. She loved crocheting and often gave away her
homemade items as gifts. She was loved by many and you were always
welcomed to stop in to visit. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband; brother-in-law, Leroy "Buck" Horgeshimer; two grandchildren and her parents. Funeral: Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND. Visitation: Thursday, from noon to service time at the funeral home.
