Annabelle Ohmart, 88, Norwich, ND died Saturday, June 14, 2008 in a Minot nursing home.

Annabelle (Hollandsworth) Ohmart was born July 6, 1919 to John and Clara Bell (Sutton) Hollandsworth on the family homestead in Baca County, near Lamport, CO.

She attended schools in Colorado and Missouri graduating from Medin Mines, MO in 1936. She attended one year at Kansas State Teacher's College in Pittsburgh, KS. Later, she worked for the Tom Sawyer Shirt Factory in Webb City, MO and during WWII she worked at Pratt and Whitney for the Navy. While living in Kansas City, she met the love of her life, John Ohmart. Upon John's return from the South Pacific, they were married on January 23, 1946 in Minot, ND. To this marriage they were blessed with three daughters, Nancy, Helen and Laura.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. To all who knew her, she was a great neighbor and true friend. Annabelle's hobbies included sewing, camping, and fishing with her family, embroidering, reading, quilting and gardening which she considered her "little corner of heaven". In her earlier years, she was a 4-H leader and a bowler on the Tuesday morning coffee league.

She was a member of the Norwich Lutheran Church, the Women of the E.L.C.A. and the Norwich Quilters.

Those Who Shared Her Life: Daughters, Nancy (Arland) Mueller, Granville, Helen Ohmart (friend, Murlin Krenz) Minot and Laura (Richard) Volk, Surrey. Her grandchildren include: Denise (Wayne) Shipman, Carrington, and their children, Danielle, Jayden and Grady. Dale Mueller, Granville and his sons, Kyle and Cody. David Mueller, Granville, (friend, Jess Hamel) and son, Payton. Step-grandchildren include: Leroy Volk, Minot, Sheryl (John) Dickman, Surrey, and their children, Kelsey, Sierra and Laramy Adams and Jagger and Harli Dickman. DeNae (Dalen) Humphreys, Surrey, and their children Rhet Volk and Heidi, Kyle and RaegAnn Humphreys. Brothers: Nelson (Grace) Hollandsworth, Norfolk, VA, Earl Hollandsworth, Wichita, KS, Vern (Sharon) Hollandsworth, Wayne, MI, and sister-in-law, Carol Hollandsworth, Kennewick, WA; special first cousin, George Sutton, Kansas City, MO, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John; sisters, Laura Emily Guill and Berniece Hollandsworth; brothers, Lloyd, Floyd, Ernest and Dale Hollandsworth.
Visitation: Wednesday, June 18, 2008 from noon-7 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Funeral Service: Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 11 am at the Norwich Lutheran Church, Norwich, ND

Burial: Norwich Lutheran Cemetery, Norwich, ND
