O'Brien 1936 - 2003 Richard Francis "Dick" O'Brien, 67, 9800 42nd St. SE, Minot, died Monday, January 20, 2003 in Minot. He was born January 1, 1936, in Bismarck, ND to Raymond James and Phyllis Grace (Nelson) O'Brien. He was reared and educated in the Bismarck, Velva and Ruso areas. In 1952 he moved to Libby, MT and worked for the Montana Forest Service, and then was employed at J. Neils Lumber in the retail division. On May 27, 1956, he married Charlotte Bowker in Libby. In 1959 they moved to Minot where he was an independent contractor and built homes for 25 years. They built and managed Robindale Trailer Court from 1962 until 1972. Dick was also the project manager for the Minot Air Force Base Housing contracts and worked for various companies throughout the years. He retired in 1998. He was a member of the Eagles Club and served on several committees, including the ritual team and held several offices within the club. Survivors: wife, Charlotte Darlene O'Brien, Minot; son, William James O'Brien and wife Olga, Minot; daughter, Linda Diane Morrison and husband Nicholas, Roseville, MN; grandchildren, Andrew Widme and Paul Widme and sister, Patricia Carpenter, Wadena, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James O'Brien. Funeral: Saturday, January 25, 2003, 1:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Visitation: Thursday from noon until 5:00 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. until service time at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: Ruso Cemetery, Ruso, North Dakota. Officiant: Rev.
