Elizabeth Rose (Schmidt) Norman, 46, Minot, ND, died Monday, April 21, 2008, in a Minot hospital.

Elizabeth was born on October 8, 1961, in Minot, ND, the daughter of Philip and Magdalena (Bohl) Schmidt. She was reared in Minot and graduated in 1980 from the Ann Carlson School Jamestown, ND. She married Travis Merle Norman on September 15, 1982, in Wahpeton, ND. The couple had three children together, Eliza, William and David. In 1986, Elizabeth earned her associates degree in accounting and was later employed as a bookkeeper at Golden Oaks Nursing Home in South Saint Paul, MN. In May of 2000 they moved to Minot.

Elizabeth was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot.

Survivors: husband, Merle, Minot, daughter, Eliza Norman and George Bledsoe, Inver Grove Heights, MN; sons, William Norman and Laura Johnson, Minot and David Norman and Jaci Satterfield, Inver Grove Heights, MN; two grandkids, Benjamin Johnson and Caelyn Norman; her mother, Magdalena Schmidt, Minot; brothers, James (Joyce) Schmidt, Bismarck, Leonard (Janice) Schmidt, Belfair, WA, Albert Schmidt, Fargo, Gerald Schmidt and Laurie Young, Chadds Ford, PA, Robert Schmidt, Portland, OR, Leo (Jutta) Schmidt, Minot, Anthony Schmidt, Fargo, DeWayne (Denise) Schmidt, Budd Lake, NJ, and Patrick Schmidt, Minot; sisters, Marion (John) Reed, Pamona, MO, Bernadine (William) Humphrey, Tyler, TX, Ann Elkins, Tulsa, OK, Caroline (Philip) Brand, Ringwood, NJ, Clara (Mark) Elenz, Dubuque, IA, Sheila Schmidt, Fargo; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, April 24, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot

Visitation: Wednesday, April 23, 2008, from Noon until 7 p.m. with at prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
