Robert "Bob" Norgard 1950 - 2004

Robert "Bob" Norgard, 53, Bismarck, ND, died of natural causes Monday, July 26, 2004, in his home.

Robert Conrad Norgard was born on September 16, 1950, the son of Conrad and Virginia (Bell) Norgard in Powers Lake, ND. He attended school at Battle View Elementary, and graduated from Carpio High School in 1968, where he played varsity football and track and field. He went on to attend Minot State University and was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.

Bob was a GSA Fleet manager for the Federal Government for 25 years in WY, UT, WA, MT, SD, and ND. He retired in 1999.

Bob enjoyed cars, 50's and 60's music, skeet shooting, fishing, camping, western movies, and attending stock car outlaw racing. He was also an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, a member of the NRA and Elks Club.

Surviving family includes:
daughters: Virlen Norgard of St. Paul, MN; and Carrie (Norgard) and Kory Bolstad of Williston, ND.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and infant daughter, Leah Karen Norgard.

Celebration of Life Service: Saturday, July 31, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at Carpio Lutheran Church, Carpio, ND.

Interment: Heartland Cemetery, Hartland, ND.

There will be no reviewal but friends may sign the register on Friday, July 30, 2004, from Noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Memorials may be sent to the Heartland Cemetery Association in care of the Carpio Lutheran Church.
