Lana Kay Nordin • 1944 - 2007 Lana was born on February 5, 1944, in Minot, ND, the daughter of Iver and Lucille (Schmidt) Lee. She was reared and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1963. She attended Trinity School of Nursing in Minot, where she earned her diploma as a registered nurse. After graduating from nursing school, Lana went to work at Trinity Health in Minot in the Nursery and Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit. Her career in nursing lasted for 40 years retiring on February 6, 2006. During her retirement, Lana took great pride in caring for her grandchildren. She was devoted to the care of her animals and loved her five dogs dearly. Lana loved spending time with her family; her house was always the center of activity. Her kids and grandkids were her world as she cared for them and her mother and best friend Lucille. Lana will be greatly missed by her family, especially her grandchildren whose time with her was cut way to short. Lana was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Souris Valley Humane Society in Minot. Survivors: mother, Lucille, Minot; daughters, Kelly Nordin and her boy friend, Ron Bendickson, Minot, Terri (Bryce) Beck, Jessica (John) Theobald, and Paula (Kirk) Christensen all of Minot; son, Lee (Valerie) Nordin, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Randi, Benjamin, Sydney, Skylar, Alyx, Talli, Jack and Iver. She was preceded in death by her father, Iver. Funeral Service: Tuesday, January 9, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.
