Laura Nolte Laura Nolte, PO Box 131, Powers Lake, died Friday, April 5, 2002, in a Minot medical center. She was born in Milwaukee, WI to Paul and Ida (Thelan) Gerlach. She was reared and educated in Milwaukee and attended beauty school there. She was a bookkeeper for grocery stores in the Milwaukee area for a time. On September 16, 1961, she married Gerald Nolte in Milwaukee. In 1968, they moved to Green Bay, WI. They lived in Green Bay until moving to Powers Lake in 1978 where Laura did office work at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Prairies for over 20 years. She was a member of the Shrine of Our Lady of the Prairies, Powers Lake. Survivors: husband, Gerald "Jerry", Powers Lake; sisters, Sister Natalie Gerlach, Chicago, IL and Marie Hastings, California. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and one sister. Recitation of the Holy Rosary: Tuesday, 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Visitation: Tuesday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. A funeral service and burial will take place in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
