Joseph Albert Nichols 1921 - 2003

Joseph Albert Nichols, 81, Minot, died Wednesday, April 2, 2003, in a Minot hospital.

Joseph was born May 25, 1921, at Berthold, ND, the son of Raymond and Dora (Houle) Nichols. He was educated in the Berthold school district. He helped with the farming in the Berthold area for several years. After his parents entered Trinity Homes in Minot, he resided at the family home for approximately two years. In 1974 when his eyesight began to fail he moved to a farm north of Minot with his brother Lawrence. On September 25, 1998, he entered Trinity Homes in Minot where he since had lived.

Joe was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot.

Survivors: Brothers, Lawrence Nichols, Alfred (Delores) Nichols, all of Minot, Jim (Sharon) Nichols, Berthold, and Bernie (Linda) Nichols, Lemon Grove, CA; sisters, Mary Krogstad and Helen Johnson, both of Minot, Bernice Tomascik, San Diego, CA, and Alice (Donald) Blumhoff, Sioux Falls, SD; several nieces and nephews survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Agnes Johnson.

Funeral: Monday, April 7, 2003, at 10:00 a.m., at Trinity Homes Chapel, Minot, ND.

Visitation and Rosary Recitation: Visitation Sunday, noon to 5:00 p.m., with rosary recitation Sunday at 4:00 p.m., all at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: Monday, April 7, 2003, at noon at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
