Ashley Nettleton • 1990 - 2006 Ashley Nettleton, 16, 502 Davis St, Burlington, died Sunday, March 5, 2006, in a Minot hospital. Ashley Ann was born February 27, 1990, in Minot, the daughter of Brent "Bud" Alan and Anita Marjorie (Running) Nettleton. She was raised in Burlington, and attended schools at Burlington, Perkett, Erik Ramstad and Magic City Campus. Ashley participated in volunteer activities at the Pathfinder and the Oak Park theaters. She loved attending events held by the Des Lacs-Burlington Jaycees, Easter Seals and her church. Ashley loved to play ball with all her Dreamcatcher friends. Her greatest accomplishment was her ability to touch lives everywhere. She taught patience and roped you in with those amazing eyes and her never ending smile. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her. Ashley became a resident of REM children's home in July of 2005. She was never employed but had a full time job cheering on her sister and attending band concerts and all sporting events. She was and always will be her sister's biggest fan. Ashley was a member of the Dreamcatchers T-ball, Peace Lutheran Church, Easter Seals, Y's Mens Exceptional Rodeo and the Des Lacs-Burlington Jaycees. Ashley is survived by her parents, Bud and Anita Nettleton, Burlington; sister, Cassandra "Cassie" Nettleton, Minot; uncles, David (Marilyn) Nettleton, Davenport, IA, Gene (Lori) Nettleton, Minot, Randy (Cindy) Running, Wilmington, OH, and Gary Nettleton, Minot; aunts, Linda Motter, Yutan, NE, Carol (Jerome) DeMars, Princeton, MN, Jennie (Terry) Aasand, Mandan, ND, and LaVonna Lang, Minot; and numerous great aunts, great uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Brandon; paternal grandparents, Clyde "Mike" and Evelyn Nettleton; maternal grandmother, Darlene Running; uncles, Irvin Nettleton, Ole Running, Kelly Running, and Steve Lang; and aunt, Debby Nettleton. Memorials are preferred to the Peace Lutheran Church Youth and Education program or the Dreamcatchers. Funeral: Friday, March 10, 2006, at 11:00 am at Peace Lutheran Church, Burlington. Prayer service: Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 7:00 pm at the church. Visitation: Thursday, from noon-5:00 at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, and from 6:00-7:00 pm at the church.
