Ina Angeline Ness 1926 - 2007

Ina Angeline Ness, 81, Minot, formerly of Kenmare, ND, died Friday, November 30, 2007, in a Minot nursing home.

Ina was born on February 13, 1926, in Sykes Township, Mountrail County, ND, the daughter of August and Myrtle (Morrell) Aho. She was reared and educated in Sykes Township. Ina raised her ten siblings and worked cleaning homes.

Ina married Marvin Ness on April 19, 1959, in Stanley, ND. The couple made their home in Sherwood, ND and in 1968, they moved to Kenmare where Ina did daycare for numerous years. Marvin died on May 12, 1999, in Minot.

Ina loved to crochet, cook, bake, and tend to her flowers and garden.

She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church, the ladies aid and the American Legion Auxiliary all in Kenmare.

Survivors: sons, Bradley K. Ness, Kenmare, and Carl (Julie) Ness, Bismarck, ND; daughters, Julie Ann Ness, Chicago, IL and Theresa (Edward) Karhan, Minot; three grandchildren, Nicholas Ness, Derek Ness and Kaitlyn Karhan; brothers, Allan Aho, Stanley, ND and James (Kay) Aho, Kalispell, MT; sisters, VonDella (Ervin) Hoffmann, Hiawatha, IA, JoAnn (Peter) Kavalski, Everett, WA, Betty Juma, Richfield, MN and Rita (Curtis) Footh, Minot; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin her parents, August and Myrtle, infant twin sister, Hilja, brothers, Robert, Joel and David Aho, sisters, Olga Severance and Evelyn Aho.

Funeral Service: Friday, December 7, 2007, 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot

Visitation: Thursday, December 6, 2007, from Noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: North Dakota Veteran Cemetery, Mandan, ND. Burial will take place at 3 p.m. on Friday.
