Kenneth Nelson • 1910- 2011

Kenneth Nelson, 101, West St. Paul, MN, formerly of Roseglen, ND, died Tuesday, September 6, 2011, in a St. Paul Care Center.  

Kenneth Howard Nelson was born June 15, 1910, a son of Henry and Julia (Iverson) Nelson, in Minot, ND. He was raised and educated in the Roseglen/Ryder area. He graduated from Minot State Teachers College with a B.A. in Education and taught in numerous North Dakota and Minnesota schools, including Sibley High School in West St. Paul from many years. After retirement, he continued to substitute teach into his early 90s. 

He also traveled extensively around the world. 

Surviving family includes: 
8 nieces and nephews and other family and friends. 

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Morris and Irwin; and sister, Bernice Lee

Funeral Service: Saturday, September 10, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 1575 Charlton Street, West St. Paul, MN.

Funeral: Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot. 

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND. 

Visitation:  Wednesday one hour prior to the service at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.  

Memorials may be given to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church Foundation.
