Eleanor K. Neiss 1934 - 2003
Eleanor was born October 9, 1934, in Fulda, ND, the daughter of Sigmund and Katherine (Jaeger) Schneibel. She was raised and educated in that area. She went on to earn her G.E.D. from the Adult Learning Center in Minot, ND. On June 11, 1959 she married Frank J. Neiss at the Fulda Catholic Church, Fulda, ND. Following their marriage they lived in Havre, Montana for a short time. They moved to Minot where they lived until 1969, when they moved to Surrey, ND. They lived in Surrey until 1997 when they moved back to Minot, where she since had lived. For 22 years she worked at Dakota Square Mall in Minot and was currently employed at Trinity Health. Eleanor was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, and a member of St. Theresa's Guild of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. In 1999 she received the Eagle Award from the Minot Chamber of Commerce for her outstanding service. Survivors: Husband, Frank J. Neiss, Minot; children, Frank (Maesie) Neiss, Mesa, AZ, and their children, Travis, Chantel, Natasha, Katherine and Mitchell Neiss; Laura (Steve) Phillips, Minot, and their son, Mathew Phillips; Lisa Neiss, Lakeview, MN, and her children, Lacey Bruner and her daughter, Ellie Temple, Michael and Andrew Bruner; Mary (William) Kingsley, Fargo, ND, and their children, Alex, Christin and Justin Kingsley; John (Amy) Neiss, Minot, and their children, Brandon and Joshua Neiss, Taylor and Alexis Goodridge; Cindy (Alton) Newton, Fargo, ND, and their children, Angelica and Diana Newton; Joey (Joanna) Neiss, Minot, and their children, Zane and Zachary Neiss; Sandra (Shawn) Stephens, Minot, and their children, Kyle and Sarah Stephens; Susan McLean, Apple Valley, MN, and her son, Anthony McLean; Todd (Sandra) Neiss, Bismarck, and their children, Carson and Ryan Neiss; sisters, Elizabeth Marquart, Drake, Helen Grad, Harvey, Pauline Weiland, Beresford, SD, Rebecca (Herbert "Red") Cusey, Grand Rapids, MN, Barbara (Edward) Schafer, Glasgow, MT; brothers, Louis (Phyllis) Schneibel, Littleton, CO, Leonard (Anna) Schneibel, Harvey, ND, Maurus (Barbara) Schneibel, Rugby, and Clemens (Lydia) Schneibel, Minot; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marymagdeline Schneibel; brothers, Sigmund, Anthony, Joseph, Augustine, and Leo Schneibel. Funeral: Tuesday, May 13, 2003, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, ND.
