Gina (Peterson) Myers 1907 - 2004 Gina (Peterson) Myers, 96, 600 South Main St., Minot, ND, died Monday, August 23, 2004, in a Minot nursing home. She was born on August 31, 1907, at Albert Lee, MN, the daughter of Carl and Gurina Verke. At the age of 9 Gina went to live with the Sam Anderson family in Portland, ND. Gina graduated from high school in Portland and later attended nurses training in Grand Forks, ND. She married Lewis Peterson on April 30, 1938, at Fargo, ND. The couple farmed in the Portland area until they moved to Minot in 1943. While living in Minot, Gina worked for the Great Northern Railroad as a cook and later as a housekeeper for the Westlie and Keating families. In 1962, the couple moved to a home on Art Myers farmstead, where she resided at until she entered ManorCare in 1998. Lewis died on January 19, 1972. She married Arthur Myers on October 29, 1980. Art died on June 30, 1993. Gina was a very generous lady and loved animals. Survivors: son, Lyle (Diane) Peterson, Minot; grandchildren, David (Becky) Peterson, and Daniel (Nancy) Peterson, all of Minot; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jerrod, Jessica and Justin Peterson. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Lewis Peterson and Arthur Myers, infant son, David Peterson, stepdaughter, Yvonne Ronningen, brothers, Nels, Emil, Robert and Arthur Verke. Funeral Service: Thursday, August 26, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot. Visitation: Wednesday, August 25, 2004 from Noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot Burial will take place on Friday August 27, 2004, at
