Emma Murrey 1914 - 2002 Emma Murrey, 88, 305 8th Ave. NE, Minot, died Monday in a Minot nursing home. She was born on March 4, 1914, in St. John, ND to William and Rose (Slater) Richard. She was reared and educated in St. John and graduated from St. John High School. Shortly following graduation from High School she moved to Minot. On February 3, 1937 she married Bernard J. "Barney" Murrey. They lived in Minot where Emma was employed at the Farmer's Union for a time and was also did foster care throughout the years. Her husband died on October 12, 2001. Emma was residing at Trinity Homes at the time of her death. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot and was active in several groups at the church. Survivors: Nieces and nephews and their spouses, Clara (Bill) Koapke, Bottineau, Mickey (Van) Saunders, Minot, Justine Zollinger, Nashville, TN, Vernon (Shirley) Jeannotte, Medina, ND, Frank (Jean) Langan, Great Falls, MT, Adrian (Patty) Richard, Great Falls, George "Billy" (Jolene) Richard, St. Paul, MN, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Richard, Pine Ridge, SD and Berniece Richard, Minnesota; Godchild, Nancy (Jerry) Hoiland, Minot. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Funeral: Friday, 2:00 p.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church. Rosary Recitation: Friday, 11:30 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
