Avis Elizabeth Mulvihill
1907 - 2002 Avis Elizabeth Mulvihill, 94, Minot, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002, in a Minot nursing home. She was born on October 27, 1907, in rural Berthold, ND, the
daughter of Emery and Edna (Worth) Albin. She was raised and
attended school in Berthold. She helped her family with the family
farm. She married Daniel Mulvihill on October 25, 1922, at St.
Ann's Catholic Church in Berthold. Avis was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church in Minot, and was active in the confraternity and the church circle. She was member of the Women of the Moose and the Royal Neighbors of America, where she held several local offices. She held a special place in her heart for her family. Avis loved life. She was full of love, laughter and shared those traits with friends and family. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, crocheting, knitting, sewing, cooking and baking for her loved ones. She had a quick wit, a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. She was always up for challenging board or card game with her family. Survivors: Three children, George A. Mulvihill and wife Gloria, Klamath Falls, OR, Lois Flammang, Custer, WA, and Alice Schiele and husband Kenneth, Burlington, ND; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel; her parents; one son, Frank Mulvihill; one brother, Frank Albin; two sisters, Letha Howell and Waive Johnson; and one grandson, Patrick Mulvihill. Funeral Service: Friday, June 21, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, ND. Vigil Prayer Service: Thursday, June 20, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot, ND. Visitation: Thursday, June 20, 2002 from noon to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
