Helen Mueller 1917 - 2008 Helen was born October 13, 1917 on the family farm near Deering, ND, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Norsby) Carr. She attended Grilley School and graduated from Deering High School in 1937. She attended Minot State University and received a degree in elementary education. Helen married Leo Mueller of Granville in 1941. She taught school for 31 years, first in rural schools near Deering and then in Glenburn and Upham. Her husband Leo died in 1972. Helen was a member of the Turtle Mountain Retired Teacher's Association and was a lifetime member of the Minot State Alumni Association. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Towner and the American Legion Auxiliary of Upham. She was a member of the Upham Senior Citizens Club and attended the Bantry United Methodist Church. Helen loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always wanted to make sure they were taken care of. She made several quilts and made sure each of her family members had one. She loved to play bingo and take trips with her friends to the casino. She was a wonderful lady who will be deeply missed. Those who shared in her life; Sons, Larry Mueller, Minot; Tarry (Bonnie) Mueller, Sidney, MT; five grandchildren, Wade Mueller, Chad Mueller, Brady Mueller, Brandon Mueller and Kayla Ganje; six great-grandchildren; sister, Betty (Omar) Smith; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive. Helen was preceded in death by her husband; daughter-in-law, Carrie Mueller; parents; three brothers, Lynn, Dale and Paul Carr. Funeral: Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot. Visitation: Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from noon to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND. Officiating: Rev.
