Carrie Elizabeth Mueller
1948 - 2006 Carrie Elizabeth Mueller, 57, Minot, died Monday, February 6, 2006 at Trinity Homes following a long courageous battle with cancer. Carrie was born a twin, on March 3, 1948 in Minot to Melvin and Elizabeth (Wiltse) Nerem. She was raised on the family farm east of Deering and graduated from Deering High School. She worked at Bell Telephone for a short time. In 1968 she married Myron Brodehl and to that union three children were born. They lived in Surrey, Minot and moved to Granville in 1975. Carrie worked at Trinity Nursing Home for five years in the Dietary Department, and than took some time off to raise her family. Carrie and Myron were later divorced. She later began working at Trinity Homes as a Dietary Supervisor and she continued to work there for 25+ years until 2004 when ill health forced her to retire. In October of 2003 Carrie married Larry Mueller. Family was very important to Carrie and she loved her grandchildren and enjoyed the times she got to spend with them. Together Carrie and Larry were members of the Dakota Cruisers car club, and they enjoyed the times spent at Van Hook. She loved fishing and hunting and a few years ago was drawn for the once in a life-time North Dakota moose tag. She was successful in shooting her moose near Bottineau. She also loved her dogs. In earlier years she was a member of First Lutheran Church, Granville, where she taught Sunday school for several years. While in high school she played piano at Sunday services at the Deering Lutheran Church where she was baptized and confirmed. In her younger years she was a member of the Klever Klipperetts 4-H Club. Survivors: Husband, Larry, Minot; mother, Elizabeth Nerem, Minot; children and grandchildren, Brian (Kelly) Brodehl, Newburg, and their children, Brandon and Mayce; Charlene (Larry) Goettle, Donnybrook, and their children, Tyler, Morgan and Levi; Karlene (Ian) Wyman, Westhope, and their children, Alexis, Tate and Ally; step children, Wade (Shari) Mueller, Surrey, and their children, Dillon, Payton and Zoe, and Kayla (Scott) Ganje, Minneapolis, MN, and their children, Carter and Mara; sisters, Jan Nerem, Great Falls, MT and Elaine Swanson, Minot; brothers, Cliff (Ginny) Nerem and twin brother, Gary (Mary) Nerem, all of Deering; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Carrie was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Nerem. Funeral: Thursday, February 9, 2006, at 1:00 p.m., at Bread of Life Lutheran Church, Minot.
