R. Paul Morrison 1966 - 2009 Robert Paul Morrison was born November 19, 1966 in Minot, ND, the son of Robert and Betty (Deibert) Morrison. He attended grade school at Lewis and Clark Elementary in Minot and was active in Boy Scouts. He graduated from Bishop Ryan High School in 1985. While at Ryan he was active in football and track and was a student manager for basketball. Following graduation he attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. Paul was employed at K-Mart north, Broten Lumber and later at Piggly Wiggly, Minot. He worked at Sunmart in Fargo and returned to Minot to be at his mother's side after the passing of his father. He worked at the Minot Daily News until 2002 when ill health forced him to retire. Paul was the kind of person who was always concerned about how others were doing before worrying about himself. He helped take care of many people in his apartment complex over the last year and felt good about what he did for other people. He was a genuine caring person who will be deeply missed by many. Those who shared in his life, parents, Betty and Richard Burgard, Minot; brothers, Randy (Julie) Burgard, Bismarck and Rodney (Nancy) Burgard, Minot; several nieces and nephews; maternal grandmother, Rose Deibert, Velva, ND; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Robert Morrison; paternal grandparents, Harold and Helen Morrison; maternal grandfather, Frank Deibert and uncle Richard Morrison. Funeral: Monday, March 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot. Visitation: Sunday from noon to 5:00 p.m. with the vigil service at 5:00 at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND. Celebrant of the Liturgies: Father Paul Cervinski Music Honorary Bearers: Paul's neighbors and friends at the AIS Apartment Complex Active Bearers: Randy Burgard, Rodney Burgard, Alec Burgard, Mike Sowitch, Rick Halbert, Tony Rensch Those not attending the graveside service are invited to begin the fellowship and luncheon in the Little Flower Catholic School Gymnasium, located directly south of the church and the family will join you when they return from the cemetery.
