Grace Judith Morey • 1917 - 2007 Grace was born August 27, 1917, in Minot, to Charles and Julia Hanson. She was reared and educated in Minot. She was united in marriage to Robert Lee Morey on April 11, 1936, in Minot. In 1949, they acquired farmland South of Minot, and she continued to maintain their farming interest throughout her life. Grace was employed at Trinity Hospital, Ellison's Department Store, and Sears in Minot until she retired in 1980. Robert died March 20, 1993. She lived in Minot until 2002 when she moved to California to be near her family. Grace enjoyed decorating, fashions, and gardening, but spending time with family was what she treasured the most. Grace is survived by her son, Robert (Janette) Morey, Mission Viejo, CA; daughters, Adair (Ronald) Marra, Indian Wells, CA, Karen (Jerry) Goetz, Palm Desert, CA, Judy Thickstun, San Diego, CA; sister, Ruth Peterson, Lemon, SD; five grandchildren, Kimberly Horn, Dr. Mark Kontos, Kari Anseth, Jennifer Morey, and Michael Morey; six great-grandchildren, Kristine and Derek Grindle, Jordon and Karly Kontos, Ashley and Katherine Anseth; and several nieces and nephews. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Morey; parents, Julia and Charles Hanson; son, Archie Lynn Morey; brothers, Lloyd and Ralph Hanson; and sister, Inez Olson. Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church in Minot. Funeral: Was held in Palm Desert, CA on April 24, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Visitation: Thursday, April 26, 2007 from 2-7 and Friday from 9-noon at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot Graveside service: will be Friday April 27, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Rosehill Memorial Park in Minot.
