Mary Jean Moran • 1940 - 2010 Mary Jean Moran was born July 8, 1940, a daughter of Francis M. and Marie (Robertson) Moran, in Minot. She was raised in Minot and attended Sunnyside Elementary, McKinley Elementary and attended seventh grade at Minot Junior High School. During her seventh grade year, she was diagnosed with a medical illness and was unable to complete her education. She continued to live with her parents and in 1991 became involved with the Minot Vocational Adjustment Workshop. During this time she was employed in the housekeeping department of a local hotel in Minot and also had various volunteer positions. She attended First Presbyterian Church in Minot. Mary Jean very much enjoyed meeting new people, sharing her love of jokes, and inquiring about people’s heritage. She left a joyful and lasting impression on everyone she knew and ever met. She will be remembered for her quick wit, her catch phrases, and her jokes. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mary Jean was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, John and Mary Laney Robertson; paternal grandparents, John M. and Leana Hamm Moran.
