Wallace Moody 1912 - 2006


Wallace Moody, 94, Minot, died Sunday, October 29, 2006, in a Minot nursing home.

He was born on March 21, 1912, in Wheaton Township, Bottineau County, ND, the son of William E. and Hilma (Ronning) Moody. He was reared and educated in Wheaton Township and in Antler, ND.

Wallace entered the United States Army on June 6, 1942 serving during World War II. He was honorably discharged on January 15, 1946. After his discharge, Wallace returned to North Dakota where he purchased a farm just on the edge of Antler. Wallace loved the farm and worked his land until 1976, when he retired. In 1988, Wallace moved to Minot where he resided with his sister, Mildred.

Survivors: sister, Mildred Moody, Minot; brother, William "Bill" (Arlene) Moody, Sweet Home, OR; and nephew, James Keller, Kalispell, MT. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Norma Brekken and Ruth Keller.

Graveside Service: Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at 1 p.m. at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.

Visitation: Monday, October 30, 2006, from Noon until 5 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot
