Clarice Modin • 1920 - 2005 Clarice Modin, 84, Minot, died Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at a Minot hospital. Clarice was born on March 6, 1920, in Donnybrook, ND, the daughter of Harry and Clara (Skophammer) Collins. She was reared and educated in Burlington, ND, and graduated from Burlington High School. After graduation Clarice moved to Minot where she lived until the time of her death. Survivors: son, Thomas Nickelson Sr., Clovis, CA; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and all her friends at Milton Young Towers where Clarice lived for almost 30 years. She will also be missed by her cousins-in-law, Roland, Eunice and Gene Modin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Modin, son, Gary Nickelson, three brothers, Jim, John, and Walt Collins and her sister, Ruth Souther. A special thank you to all the staff at Manor Care and Trinity Hospital for all the love and care you gave Clarice during this time. Her body has been donated to the University of North Dakota Medical School in Grand Forks.
