Karen Sue Mock 1944 - 2008 Karen was born on October 21, 1944, in Minot, ND, the daughter of Lawrence Elwood "Tubby" and Doris (Bauer) Rohrer. She attended Minot High School and later Minot State University for one year. She obtained her secretary certificate. Karen was once married to Lawrence Mock and they had two children, Candis and Kelly. Karen was a stay home mom, until going to work for the Minot Convention and Business Bureau for a time before working at UniMed Medical Center for 14 years and then five years for Trinity Medical Center before retiring because of ill health. Karen attended Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot. Karen loved spending time with her grandson, Timmy, the love of her life. She enjoyed working in yard, reading and spending time with her sisters, daughters and dogs. Karen is survived by her daughters, Candis Mock of Burlington and Kelly (Scott) Leathes, Minot; grandson, Timothy Mock; sisters, Barbara (Ted) Voeller, Karlsruhe, Kimberly (William) Hale, Minneapolis, MN; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral: Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Vincent Methodist Church, Minot Visitation: Friday from noon until 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND. This service will be private. Officiant: Rev. Donald Andrews, Chaplain at Trinity Medical Center, Minot Music CD Music Honorary Bearers: Timothy Joseph Mock, Ted Voeller, Scott Leathes Following the service in the church everyone is invited to join with the family in a time of fellowship in the fellowship hall of the church.
