Rodney Keith Mize 1953- 2004
Rodney Keith Mize, 51, Minot, died Sunday, August 1, 2004,
at a Minneapolis hospital.
He was born on January 8, 1953, at Ashland, OH, the son of
Mancel and Helen (Taylor) Mize. He was reared and educated in
Ashland and graduated from Ashland Senior High School in 1971.
Rodney entered the United States Air Force on January 12, 1972,
at Cleveland, Ohio. He served during Vietnam and was honorably
discharged on April 22, 1974, in Minot, ND. Rodney worked for
seven years at the Minot Housing Authority and retired in 2003
due to ill health. Most recently he was employed part-time at
On The Rocks Lounge as a bartender. He was once married to Sherri
McDowell.
Rodney was a member of the Moose Lodge in Minot. He enjoyed
playing pool and assembling model cars.
Survivors: sons, Dustin (Catherine) Mize, Spokane,
WA, and Matt and Eric Mize, both of Minot; 2 grandchildren, Dylan
Kniffin and Carthon Turness; brothers, Don (Anita) Mize, St.
Paul, MN, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Service: Wednesday, August 11, 2004, at 1
p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
Friends may sign a register book on Wednesday from 9 a.m.
until service time at the funeral home.
