Andrew L. "Andy" Miller 1936 - 2003

Andrew L. "Andy" Miller, 66, 1200 32nd Ave. #109, Minot, died Monday, July 21, 2003 at his home.

He was born July 31, 1936, at Regent, ND, to Lloyd and Esther (Moe) Miller. The family moved to Newburg Township, Bottineau County in 1943 where he was raised. He graduated from Newburg High School in 1954, and attended Minot Teachers College and received his standard teaching certificate. He taught school in the Chatfield School District for two years. On June 30, 1959, he married Eva Schan in Minot. Eva passed away on February 22, 1998.

Andy worked at Taubes, Montgomery Ward, Industrial Credit and Beneficial Finance, all of Minot. In 1969, Andy went to work for Tim Auran Chevrolet and after for Jim Ryan Chevrolet. He retired in 1999 after thirty years of service. On July 3, 1999, he married Sharon Allickson in Minot, where they resided.

Andy was devoted to his family, friends and work with Chevrolet. He received recognition for his meticulous manner and his ability to do his job well.

He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Eagles, Elks and was an active member in the Moose Lodge, all of Minot.

Survivors: wife, Sharon, Minot; sons, Kenneth James Miller, Minot, Michael Andrew Miller and his wife Melissa, Newport Beach, CA; daughter, Tammy Rae Miller and fiance, Jeremy Champlin, Minneapolis, Minn.; brother, James E. "Jim" (Carolyn) Miller, Newburg; step-children, Becky (Jon) Miller, Bottineau, Carrie (Jim) Boe, Perth, Dale (Dawn) Allickson, Minot, Kristi (Jeremy) Allickson, Minot; step grandchildren, Evan, Aubrie, Jacie, Lexie, Avery, Jori Ann and Gavin; mother-in-law, Mildred Wheeler, Mesa, AZ and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva; parents Lloyd and Esther and brother, Lawrence.

Funeral: Friday, July 25,2003 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John The Apostle Catholic Church, Minot.

Visitation: Thursday from 9 am until 7 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND

Prayer Service: Thursday, 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot, ND

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
