Makenzie D. Milbrath, 7, 2016 Parkside Drive, Minot, died Thursday, June 26, 2008 in a Minot hospital.

Makenzie Danielle Milbrath was born into a loving family on November 30, 2000 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Minot, ND, and was a blessing to her parents Chad and Dawn (Bertsch) Milbrath and her two older sisters, Morgan and Madison.

Makenzie began preschool in 2003, with services provided at her home, three days per week. In 2005, she entered kindergarten at Edison Elementary attending class two days per week and continuing her home school education provided by a very special and dedicated teacher, Diane Boutilier, the remainder of the week. Makenzie loved school and made great strides. She enjoyed being with her classmates and learning from them. She had just completed the first grade.

Makenzie received home health care which enabled her to live at home with her family. Some of the special people involved in her care include her nurses, Judy Schaefer, Val Sillerud, Cindy Strand, Jan Laudenschlager, Ashley DeMakis, Jen O'Hearn and Donna Melbarzdis. These caring people were like family to Makenzie and the Milbrath family. She also received extraordinary care from Dr. Carver and Dr. Holland, along with their associates which the family is very grateful for.

Makenzie's family provided her a full and enriched life filled with lots of love and support. Makenzie enjoyed being out and about going to the family lake home, sitting by the pool with her sisters, visiting her grandparents, going to the zoo or even just taking a walk. She was a member of the Dream Catchers in Minot and was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Minot.

The family would like to extend a thank you to everyone for their acts of kindness during this most difficult time we appreciate everyone's help and support over the past seven years.
