Hazel Luella Mickelson
1918 - 2004 Hazel Luella Mickelson, 86, Maxbass, ND, died Monday, December 20, 2004, in a Minot hospital. She was born on October 13, 1918, in rural Deering, ND, the daughter of Ben and Kirsti (Bo) Rudland. She was reared and educated in Pratt Township, McHenry County, ND. On November 24, 1945, she married Marcus Mickelson in Glasgow, Montana. The couple made their home in Maxbass where they farmed and ranched. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Glenburn and the Glenburn Senior Citizens. She was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Minot. Survivors: son, Marlin Mickelson, Maxbass and his fiancée Rita Danielson; granddaughters, Melissa Mickelson and her fiancé Karie Kjonaas and Brenda Mickelson her fiancé Alex Conejo all of Minot. She was preceded in death by her son, Maynard Mickelson, husband, Marcus, parents, Ben and Kirsti, brothers, Kolbjorn and Belvin Rudland and sister, Alma Krogstad. Funeral Service: Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, Glenburn. Visitation: Tuesday, December 21, 2004, from Noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Rural Glenburn, ND. Officiant: John Melland Music: Laurence Thompson, vocalist"Rock of Ages"
