Linda Lou Meyers • 1937 - 2011 Linda L. White Owl was born June 21, 1937 in Elbow Woods, ND to Simon and Edna (Medicine Crow) White Owl. She was raised and educated in Elbow Woods and graduated from high school there. Linda was once married to Felix Meyers. She moved to Minot in 1968, where she since had lived. Linda raised a large family and loved to cook and care for them and she enjoyed her visits with her grandchildren. She also loved to play bingo. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Minot. Those who shared in her life, Children, Felix P. Meyers, Kenneth Meyers, Gerald Meyers, Emerson Meyers, Mike Meyers, Sharon Spotted Horse, Kathy Cox and Eunice Blankenship; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Eakin and Josephine Parenteau; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Edna White Owl; seven children; sister, Mariam White Owl, Mabel White Owl and Jessie Standish; and brother, Richard White Owl. Funeral: Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Minot, ND. Visitation and vigil prayer service: Visitation will be today, Monday, November 7, 2011, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the vigil prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND. Burial: Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Mandaree, ND.
