Ruth F. Marsh, 88, Fallon, NV, formally of Minot, ND, died February 27, 2007 at Highland Manor.

Ruth was born on March 29, 1918 in Leeds, ND, daughter of Anton and Volborg (Halvorson) Iverson. In 1920 the family moved to Maxbass, ND. She attended school in Maxbass and graduated from Maxbass High School. After graduation she helped with the family farm operation. In 1945, she moved to Minot, ND. She was employed at Ellison's Department Store and later at Bader's Department Store and Black Drug Store.

On September 10, 1952, she married Charles Hand. They lived in Flaxton, ND where Charles owned and operated the Texaco Gas Station and Repair Shop. In 1959 Ruth and Charles moved to Minot, where Charles was employed by the Minot Water Treatment Plant. After moving to Minot, they were blessed with the birth of their daughter. Ruth was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. Charles passed away September 6, 1964. After Charles' death, Ruth was a housemother for Minot Business College and later did in home care for the elderly. In 1970 she enrolled in the Licensed Practical
Nursing Program at North Dakota State School of Science. She graduated top of her class on April 7, 1972. She nursed in Bottineau, Minot and Westhope, until her retirement in 1983. Ruth married Everett Marsh of Newburg on January 17, 1976. They lived on his farm in Newburg several years and then moved into Minot. Following Everett's death on March 5, 2003, she moved to her daughter's home in Fallon, NV. She was living at Highland Manor in Fallon when she passed away.

Survivors: Daughter, Charlene (Ross) Blumhagen, Fallon, NV, Step-children: Donald (Linda) Marsh, Newburg, ND., Galen (Linda) Marsh, Minot, ND & Corliss (Bill) Kellogg, Gettysburg, SD. Sister: Doris Olson, Minot ND., Brother: Walter (Lucy) Iverson, Rolla, ND. Grandchildren: Monica and Chad Blumhagen, Fallon, NV. Step-Grandchildren, Chuck, Bill, Robert & David Hand, Nancy Hand, Kathy Mercer, Janet Garecht, Joshua, Mathew & Jacob Marsh, Lisa Miles & Rachel Bozeman and numerous nieces and nephews.

Proceeded in death by her parents, husbands: Charles and Everett, brothers: Curtis and Howard.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Minot

Visitation: Monday from noon to 7pm at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot,

Burial: Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Minot, ND.
