Mildred Marsh 1914- 2006 Mildred Arneson was born April 11, 1914, the daughter of Arne and Maria (Nilsson) Arneson on the family farm near Butte, ND. She was reared and educated in the Butte area. On June 23, 1936, she was united in marriage to Lester Marsh in Towner, ND. Following their marriage, they moved to a farmstead near Upham, ND, where the couple farmed and raised their family. Lester died August 18, 1988. Following his death, Mildred continued to live on the farm. In 1989, she moved to the Dakota Terrace Apartments in Minot, and in January of 2005 moved to Brentmoor. Mildred was a charter member of the McHenry County Busy Bee's Homemakers club, a former member of the Eckman Church, the Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed making lefse, crocheting and traveling. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by: Children: Merlyn Marsh, Minot; Gerald (Kay) Marsh, Kalispell, MT; Pete (Laurel) Marsh, Minot, and Linda (Merton) Johnson, Minot; brother: Clifford Arneson, Westhope, ND; sisters; Vi Myers, Kalispell, MT; Ethel Lloyd, Petaluma, CA; Martha Davenport, Petaluma, CA; Helen Myers, Samona, CA; Ardella LaPointe, Cupertino, CA; Gladys Olson, Fargo, ND; fourteen grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; Numerous nieces, nephews also survive. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a granddaughter, a daughter-in-law, and three brothers, Edwin, Ryder, and Ernest.
