Merlyn Marsh 1937 - 2007

Merlyn Marsh, 70, Minot, died Sunday, October 7, 2007, in a Minot nursing home.

Merlyn Lloyd Marsh was born on June 19, 1937, in Bottineau, ND, the son of Lester and Mildred (Arneson) Marsh. He was reared on the family farmstead in Upham, ND, and attended local schools.

He entered the United States Navy on January 26, 1955, and was stationed in Washington and California. He was honorably discharged on September 15, 1958.

He had lived in Seattle, WA, Anchorage, AK, and later returned to North Dakota and resided in Upham and in Minot.

He was once married to Evonne Wahl.

He was a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose and of the Upham American Legion Post #269.

Survivors: sons, Doug (Polly) Marsh, Maple Valley, WA, and Russell Marsh, Westminster, CO; daughters, Cheri Marsh, Anchorage, AK and Pamela (Bill) Zagrocki, Falcon, CO; four grandchildren, Adam and Kathryn Marsh and Mikayla and Taylor Zagrocki; brothers, Pete (Laurel) Marsh, Minot and Jerry (Kay) Marsh, Kalispell, MT; sister, Linda (Merton) Johnson, Minot; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service: Saturday, October 13, at 2:30 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Visitation: Friday from Noon until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
