Elvira Marrietta, 86, Minot, formerly of San Francisco and Vicenza, Italy, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007 in a Minot nursing home.

Elvira was born October 7, 1920 in Rome, Italy, the daughter of Raymond and Olga (Zamperla) Spinetto. She was raised and educated in Rome.

In 1954, Elvira married Harold Marrietta in Italy. They lived in several states in the United States and in Germany, while Harold served with the United States Army. Harold died while serving in the Vietnam War. Following his death Elvira returned to Italy. She lived in Italy, and also lived in San Francisco, CA. She moved to Minot six months ago, where her daughter, Enrica cared for her.

Those Who Shared In Her Life: Daugther, Enrica (Calvin) Peterson, Minot; four grandchildren, Rolly Creech, Dale Creech, Angelique Bozzo and Harold Creech; six great-grandchildren, Briar, Julia, Nina, Dale, Elizabeth and Enrica; brother, Valentino Spinetto, Torino, Italy; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Elvira was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents; sisters, Palmira and Emelia; brothers, Juseppe, Maltide and Alba.

Funeral: Monday, July 2, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Officiant: Rev. Luther Hanson, Chaplain at Trinity Homes, Minot
