Jessie "Mike" Mariner, 68, Minot, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 in a Minot nursing home.

Mike was born in Woborne, ND, the son of Hank and Mae (Gleave) Mariner on October 13, 1939. In 1943 he moved with the family to Diamond Township where he went to a country school. He worked with his father in the water well business. He then went to work with Sophis Peterson in 1960, also in the water well business. He married Phyllis Hanson in 1961. They had two Children, Brenda and Illand. He started his own Water Well Drilling & Well service business in 1964. Mike ran his own business until he became ill in 1996.

Son: Illand (Pam) Mariner, Minot; daughter Brenda (Jay) Aberle, Ellensberg, WA: three grandchildren: Josh Aberle, April Aberle and Cierra Mariner; two step-grand children: Tiffany Anderson and Breann Anderson: one great grandson: Trent Williams: brothers: Marvy (Pam) Mariner, Minot, Les (Jennie) Mariner, Kenmare, ND; sisters: Dyna Fry, Anacortes, WA. Chummy Wolkenhauer, Sedrowoolley, WA

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Ruby Fladstol and Ollie Peterson.

Visitation: Friday, January 25, 2008 from noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Funeral Service: Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Minot

Burial: Saturday at 2 p.m. at Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare, ND
