Robert Dale Mahlum 1932- 2006 Robert was born on July 13, 1932, on the family farmstead near Palermo, ND, the son of Christian and Jenny (Olaf) Mahlum. He attended country school near Palermo and later assisted his father on the family farmstead. Robert married Deloris Ann Hennix on April 18, 1954, at Elmdale Lutheran Church in Niobe. The couple made their home in Kenmare where Robert worked as a mechanic at Peterson's Chevrolet for 16 years. He then went to work at the Kenmare Farmers Union Lumber Company where he worked until retiring in 1993. Deloris died on January 23, 1995, in Kenmare. Survivors: sons: Craig (Cindy) Mahlum, Williston, ND, Curtis (Kim) Mahlum, Puyallup, WA, and Carlton (Brenda) Mahlum, Kenmare; grandchildren, Chad, Christopher, Sara, Bree, Adam, Cody, Logan and Jadon; sisters, Jeanette Steen and Marian (Hjalmer) Nelson all of Stanley; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris, parents, and two brothers, Don and Marland Mahlum. Funeral Service: Monday, April 3, 2006, at 10 a.m. at Elmdale Lutheran Church, Niobe, ND Visitation: Sunday, April 2, 2006, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Kenmare. Burial: Niobe Community Cemetery, Niobe, ND. Music: Congregational hymns, "How Great Thou Art"
