Myrtle Lyson 1925 - 2006 Myrtle Lyson, 80, Minot died Thursday, March 16, 2006, in a Minot nursing home. She was born on May 11, 1925, in Newburg, ND, the daughter of Frank and Alma (Tandberg) Pierson. She attended school in Newburg and later moved to Minot and worked at several businesses throughout the years. Myrtle along with her husband Blaine Hendrickson moved to Montana where they lived until they were divorced in 1974, and Myrtle moved back to Minot. In 1977, Myrtle married Carl Knapp. The couple made their home in Hazen, ND, and in 1981, moved to Minot. They were later divorced. On January 8, 1986, Myrtle married Lloyd Lyson. The couple made their home in Northwest Minot. Lloyd died on August 16, 2004. Myrtle entered Manorcare nursing home in February of 2005. Myrtle had no children of her own but spread her love to her many nieces and nephews whenever possible. Survivors: sister, Frances Kaeding, Minot; brothers, Lawrence Pierson, Houston, TX and Stanley (Sandy) Pierson, Minot; stepson, Timothy Choiniere, Spokane, WA; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, her parents, three sisters and two brothers. Funeral Service: Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot Visitation: Monday, March 20, 2006 from Noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot Officiant: Rev.
