Bonnie Lundy 1951-2005

Bonnie Jo Lundy, 53, Dunseith, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, in a Dunseith nursing home after a long battle with Huntington's disease.

She was born on June 1, 1951, in Riverdale, ND, the daughter of Reinhard and Winifred (Kurtz) Wahl. Bonnie lived in Garrison as a child and attended grade school in Ryder, ND and in 1965 she moved to Minot with her parents and later graduated from Minot High School.

She worked for several years at the Ramada Inn now the International Inn in Minot. She moved to Surrey, ND, where she raised her children and after six years she moved back to Minot. She worked at the Salvation Army Store and volunteered at the church for many years. Bonnie later entered the Dunseith Nursing Home where she lived for the past 12 years. She was once married to Joel Lundy.

Bonnie enjoyed gardening and watching her son, Monte race at the Nodak Speedway.

Survivors: son, Monte (Gail) Lundy, Minot; daughter, Jodi (Jay) Standish, New Town, ND; grandchildren, Tyler Lundy, Sheldon and Braiden Standish; brothers, Willard Wahl, Fargo, Harlan, Alden and Terry (Tammy) Wahl, Miles City, MT, Randy Wahl, Lisbon, ND, Kent Wahl, Garrison, and Neil (Jennifer) Wahl, Minot; sisters, Myrna (Rod) Gathman and Jean (Mark) Busch, all of Minot; 13 nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Wayne Wahl who died in 1970.

Funeral Service: Monday, June 6, 2005, at 1 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.

Visitation: Sunday, June 5, 2005, from Noon until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
