Harlen D. Lunde 1934- 2006

Harlen D. Lunde, 71, 1200 32nd Ave. SW #109, Minot, ND, formerly of Halstad , MN, died Wednesday, August 23, 2006, in a Fargo hospital.

Harlen was born on November 20, 1934, at home in rural Berner, MN, the son of Clarence and Belma (Abrahamson) Lunde. He was reared and educated in Berner. He later moved to Halstad, MN, where he was a carpenter for numerous years. Harlen married Jeannie Carlson on June 14, 1969, in Ada, MN. In addition to his carpentry work, Harlen also made crafts and traveled the craft circuit for 15 years with his wife.

Harlen was full of life and loved to have fun. He had a passion for music, watching the Minnesota Vikings, old westerns, wrestling, the Andy Griffith Show and spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa and friend who will be greatly missed.

Survivors: wife, Jeannie, Minot; sons, Marlynn (Debbie) Lunde, Woodbury, MN and Brad (Rachel) Carlson, Plano, TX; daughters, Verlette (Garth) Sjue, Williston, ND; Kari (Bill) Baker, Hot Springs, SD and Lynette (Jeff) Anderson, Douglas, ND; 12 grandchildren; two sisters and numerous nieces,nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother, one infant daughter, and two grandsons.

Funeral Service: Saturday, August 26, 2006, at 1 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Minot.

Visitation: Saturday, August 26, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot and also one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
