Grayce Lukach 1918 - 2004 Grayce Lukach, 85, 305 8th Ave NE, Minot, formerly of Noonan, ND, passed away Saturday in a Minot nursing home. Grayce was born May 16, 1918, in Minot, the daughter of Attorney Daniel "Dank" and Cora Greenleaf. She was raised and educated in Minot. Grayce attended Minot State Teachers College and graduated in 1940. She taught school in Gardena, Oakes, Mandan, Noonan and Eugene Oregon. She taught English and music at the Noonan school for over twenty years. She was well known for her love of Shakesphere and musical variety shows. Grayce married Frank Lukach on October 1, 1947 in Noonan. They lived and farmed in the Noonan area until retiring in 1988, when they moved to Minot. Frank passed away on February 19, 1998. Grayce continued living in Minot and entered Trinity Homes in April of 2001. She was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church,
and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, Minot. Grayce was
president of the Divide County Democratic Women and Vice President
of the Divide County Teachers Association. She was a member of
the American Legion Auxiliary, St. Luke's Alter society and many
other organizations.
There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign a register on Thursday from noon until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Vigil Prayer Service: Thursday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
