Elizabeth "Betty" Luetzen 1926 - 2010 Betty met Robert Luetzen while working at a café in Tioga. While Robert was stationed at Great Rock Air Field, Betty and Robert were united in marriage in St. John's Kansas. They returned to North Dakota, settling in Minot. Betty and Robert began the task of raising the couples seven children and building their home in NW Minot. Robert died in 1984. Betty continued to maintain her home, assist and support her family and friends until 2007, when due to ill health she entered the Good Samaritan Center in Mohall, ND. A friend to all she knew, a beloved mother, she was devoted to taking care of others late into her 70’s. Betty enjoyed traveling, gardening and baking with her grandchildren. Betty was a lifelong member of St. Marks Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Good Sam RV Club and the Eagles Auxiliary. Those who shared in her life:Children: Paul Luetzen, Minot, Bonita Loberg, Rugby, ND, Diana Koppen, Portland, OR, Linda (Duane) Flemmer, Fort Mohave, AZ, Deborah Luetzen, Tomball, TX, Roberta Anderson, Portland, OR, Sheila (Rocky) Hubrig, Minot, ND; Visitation: Friday, February 5, 2010 from 1-7 at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot Funeral Service: Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 11 am at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Minot Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot Officiant: Rev. Carlyle Roth, Pastor of the Church Music Active Bearers: Royce Fiske, Jesse Luetzen, John Young, Stuart Savelkoul, Billy Luetzen Aaron Luetzen, Paul Luetzen, John Young Immediately following the funeral service there will be lunch and fellowship in the lower level of the church.
