Darlene E. Lovo 1938 - 2011 Darlene Ehlers was born on June 5, 1938, a daughter of Earl and Delores (Sandstrom) Ehlers in Minot, ND. She was raised and educated in Minot. On November 6, 1956, Darlene enlisted into the United States Air Force. She proudly served her country, until her honorable discharge on April 16, 1958. Darlene is survived by: Daughter: Cindy Rittenour, (Donnie) and Bill McGillivray, all of Bismarck; Cindy’s children: Jene Phillips and her children Arili, Tanner, Abigail and Leesa; Daylynn Rittenour; Nicole Rittenour; daughter: Tammy Kovh (Mike), Estevan, Sask, and her children: Christopher Lovo and his children Katrina and Rachelle; Bryan Loran and his children Zachary and Jonathon; Stephen and his child Jasper; step-children: Mike Kovh Jr, (Corriene) and their children Tyrus, Kaitlynn; Andrew Kovh; Brother, James (Bernadette)Ehlers, Kenmare, ND; Sister, Shelly (James) Daniels, Minot; uncle: Robert “Bud” (Mavis) Sandstrom, Minot, ND. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, sister Pat Dodgen and three grandchildren. Visitation will be: Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 2-7 at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot Funeral Service: Wednesday, May 25, 2011, 10 am in Thompson Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot Burial: Wednesday, May 25, at 3 pm at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Officiant: Rev. Mike Pancoast, Pastor, First Lutheran Church, Minot Music Honorary Bearers: Bryan Loran, Stephan Loran, Daylynn Rittenour, Shannon McGillivray Rick Barnett, Mike Kovh Graveside Service Military honors will be accorded by the Minot Air Force Base Honor Guard and the Bismarck VFW Post 1326. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 3 pm. There will be no formal procession. Darlene’s family would like to thank everyone for the many acts of kindness shown to them during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
