Ronald Lorntson 1944 - 2010 Ronald Henry Lorntson was born May 11, 1944, a son of Henry and Mila “Dolly” (Davick) Lorntson, in Berkely, California. He moved with his family to Minot at the age of two and was educated at Model High School, graduating in 1962. Ron enlisted in the United States Navy February 5, 1962. He proudly served his country and was honorably discharged February 5, 1965. Ron married Patricia P. Prescott August 20, 1964. They were later divorced. Ron was a truck driver for numerous companies. He drove truck for many years until ill health forced him to retire. Ron married Sandra Reed in 1985. They were later divorced. He attended business school and worked in a Minot autoparts store. He had also been employed by Minot Cab until ill health forced him to retire in 2003. Ron was a proud member of the Dakota Cruisers, whom he loved spending time with. He also enjoyed spending time with all of his friends at Schatz Truck Stop. He lived for his daughters and grandchildren. His loving family includes: daughters, Renee Gail Fossen, Minot, and Theresa Marie Marten, Minot; step-children, Brenda Oustad and Daniel St. Claire; grandchildren, Travis John Fossen, Justyn Ron Lorntson, Curtis George Marten and Krystal Shantel Lynn Marten; brother, Craig (Elaine) Lorntson, Bismarck; nephews, Jamie and Eric Lorntson; and his loving pets, Baby and Bertha.
