Jeremy James Longie was born on May 27, 1988, a son of Gerald and Jacqueline (Desjarlais) Longie in Minot, ND. He was raised and educated in Minot. Jeremy graduated in 2006 from a Mandan High School.

Following his graduation, Jeremy worked as a laborer for various construction companies in the Minot area.

He enjoyed music, drawing and any activity that involved the outdoors, especially riding his bike and fishing.

Jeremy is survived by:
                Daughter Aubrianna Longie, Minot; parents: Jacqueline Longie, Minot, Gerald (Julie) Longie, Belcourt, ND; brother: Jerry Lee Longie and his daughter Bailee Longie, Minot; twin sister: Jaycee Longie and her sons Dallas and Chayce, Thomas and Maison Longie, all of Minot; step-sister: Jerrilynn Longie, Belcourt; maternal grandparents: Victoria Westlind, Minot; Andrew (Doris) Desjarlais, Williston; paternal grandmother Georgeline Longie, Belcourt, ND; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandfather.

Visitation and Vigil service: Thursday, February 3, 2011 from noon until 5:00 pm at Thompson Larson Funeral Home with a vigil service from 5 until 6 in the funeral home chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial:  Friday, February 4, 2011 at 10 am at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot

Burial:  Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

The Longie family would like to thank everyone for the many acts of kindness shown to them during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten. May God bless the memory of Jeremy.
