Selma M. "Sally" Linnertz 1920 - 2011 Selma Maxine Bradley was born February 9, 1920 on the family farm in Renville County, ND to Jacob H. and Etta (Hardin) Bradley. Sally was raised in the Glenburn area and graduated from Lansford High School. She worked as a sales clerk in Glenburn prior to her marriage. On October 30, 1944 Sally married Joseph E. Linnertz at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Glenburn, ND. Sally and Joe made their home on the Linnertz family farm in Muskego Township, rural Foxholm, ND, where she assisted in the farming operation and together they raised livestock and small grains. Sally was also an accomplished ceramist. She enjoyed making and selling her ceramics and many of her nieces and nephews have pieces of her work in their homes. Her husband Joe passed away on July 10, 2007. Following his death she moved to the Wellington in Minot, where she since had lived. Sally was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Foxholm, ND, and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers of the church. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Women of the Moose and Elks Lodge, all in Minot. She and Joe loved to dance and were members of the Northwest Polkateers in Minot. Sally served on the Prime American Club with Bremer Bank and had served as director of the Renville County Farm Bureau. Those who shared in her life: Nephew, Paul Bradley, Berthold; niece, Sally Dronen, Belle Vista, AR; great-niece, Krystal Prellwitz, and numerous other nieces and nephews who called her Grandma or Aunt Sally. Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her parents; eight brothers and sisters and a niece, Peggy Hansen. Funeral: Friday, September 23, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot, ND. Visitation and vigil service: Visitation will be Thursday, September 22, 2011 from noon to 7:00 p.m. with the vigil prayer service at 7:00 p.m. all at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
