David Lindstrom 1923- 2006 David Edward Lindstrom was born on May 25, 1923, the son of Edward and Jessie (Anderson) Lindstrom in Parshall, ND. He enlisted in the United States Navy on December 30, 1941, and proudly served his country during WWII. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific medal, the American Area medal, the victory medal, and good conduct medal. He was honorably discharged on October 22, 1947. David was united in marriage to Bertha S. Schossow on November 6, 1944, in Minot, ND. He began employment with Northern States Power Co. as an electrician on March 2, 1953. He retired from there on July 31, 1981. He was an avid hunter, who was one of the founders of Pheasants for the Future. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #26, the Moose Lodge, and was a former member of the Elks Club, all of Minot. Surviving family includes: wife of 61 years, Bertha, Burlington; daughters, Joyce Lindstrom, Lake Geneva, WI, Joen (James) Duerre, Grafton, ND, Shirley (John) Thompson, Seminole, FL, and an adopted daughter, Luann (Butch) Burtch, Sawyer, ND; sons, David W. Lindstrom, Minot, and Charles (Gerta) Lindstrom, Dickinson, ND; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Erickson, Denver, CO; brother, Elmer Lindstrom, Lisbon, ND. David was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Doreen Erickson and Annabelle Johnson; brothers, Carl and LaVern Lindstrom, two half brothers, Charles and Jim Dunlap.
