Linnea Lindquist • 1907 - 2005

Linnea Lindquist, 97, Kenmare, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, in the Kenmare Community Hospital.

Linnea was born December 27, 1907 in Kvarnsveden, Sweden to Herman and Anna (Dahlin) Segerholm. They came to America in 1910 and homesteaded in Vanville Township, Burke County, ND. She attended country school in Vanville Township.

On March 27, 1927 Linnea married Carl W. Lindquist in Bowbells, ND. They made their home on the Lindquist farm until 1936 when they moved to Longview, Washington. In 1939 they returned to the farm. They moved into Kenmare in 1951. Her husband Carl passed away July 30, 1972. Linnea was employed at J.C.Penney and Kitty's Fashion, both in Kenmare.

Linnea was a long time member of Elmdale Lutheran Church, Niobe, and the Ladies Aid. The most special part of her life was her family, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Linnea loved to crochet, do crossword puzzles and play bingo.

Survivors: Daughter, Ilene (Arnold) Mickelsen, Kenmare; sons, Marvin (Wanda) Lindquist, Kenmare, and Richard Dale (Gail) Lindquist, Idaho Falls, ID; seven grandchildren, Gary Mickelsen, Jerry (Barb) Mickelsen and Tim Mickelsen, all of Kenmare, Marcia (John) Seime and Sheila Burns of Bowbells, Mark Lindquist, Seattle, WA, Kirsten (Mark) Lagomarsino, Boise, ID; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Andrew Lindquist, Longview, WA; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Linnea was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, and her parents, Herman and Anna Segerholm.

Funeral: Friday, April 15, 2005, at 2:00 p.m., at Elmdale Lutheran Church, Niobe, ND.

Visitation: Thursday (today) April 14, 2005, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Kenmare, ND, and Friday one hour prior to the service in the church.

Family prayer service: Thursday at 7:00 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Kenmare.

Burial: Elmdale Lutheran Cemetery, Niobe, ND.
